Alert: New Meeting Location for January

By Will

The Humboldt Neighborhood Association’s January meeting is Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 at a new location. We will meet in the chapel space in the Salvation Army’s Moore Street Center, at 5325 N Williams. The complex is just south of Killingsworth, and has its own parking lot. The chapel is the building at the south end with a peaked roof; the hallway is on the right-hand side, and we will be in Classroom “B”.

The agenda for our Tuesday, January 10th, Humboldt Neighborhood Association meeting will include:

  • Time spent with Steve Novick (City Council Candidate), with an opportunity to talk about any issues/concerns in the neighborhood;
  • Time with Josh Green who will be speaking with us about the 2012 Portland Parks & Recreation budget and potential budget cuts which may have an impact on various neighborhoods in Portland (see also the second attachment, which relates to this topic);
  • And Clifford was successful in arranging to have Principal Margaret Calvert from Jefferson attend our meeting, so we will have an opportunity to hear about future plans for Jefferson and to get answers to any questions we may have and a chance to share any concerns.
  • There will also be the usual array of updates.
